Hero’s at Play
Play Therapy Certification Program
Total CEUs 140
MISSION AND PURPOSE
Family Connections offers a play therapy certification program entitled “Heroes at Play”. This program expands mental health professionals’ knowledge base with innovative and comprehensive play therapy education. It will provide all the education and supervision requirements necessary to obtain a Registered Play Therapy (RPT) certification for the Association for Play Therapy (APT). APT requires therapists obtain 150 hours of education in the field of play therapy. While no more than 135 hours can be obtained via one provider, provisions are incorporated into this program for participants to obtain 15 hours from other sources. This program is designed to be completed in two years. Family Connections is currently unable to offer the clinical hours or an internship. If interested, best to register as soon as possible, due to limited capacity of 6 participants per module.
