Reiki Practitioners

Colleen Beggan
Certified Reiki Practitioner

Colleen Beggan grew up in the city of Pembroke, Ontario, Canada. She moved to Minnesota in 2003
with her husband.  Over the years, Colleen enjoyed her passion for everything outdoors; ski instructor,
a member of the Canadian National Ski Patrol, racing sail boats, life guarding, camping, canoeing
and swimming across the Ottawa River at the age of eleven.  Colleen received her degree in Physical
Fitness from Fanshaw College and completed first and second year courses in Early Childhood Education
from Carleton University.  Colleen began her career with the Western Quebec School Board working
with hearing impaired elementary and middle school age children where she used American Sign
Language for teaching and communicating with them.  She continues to work and volunteer for charities
that help children.  In addition, she is a substitute teacher and works as a paraprofessional with special
needs children in the Plymouth area.

Colleen’s spiritual journey has led her along many paths.  In 2006 her sister was diagnosed with breast
cancer which compelled Colleen to learn holistic alternative healing methods such as Reiki.  She witnessed
the positive and beneficial outcomes her sister and other members of her support group experienced which
influenced her to study and become certified as a Reiki Practitioner.  What Colleen brings to her healing
practice is compassion, experience and the highest intention of helping others along their own path to
inner-peace, joy, wellness and healing.
